Ordered the dumplings and the luwei, both were amazing! The luwei was especially good and definitely worth the wait (we queued for around 20 minutes). For the luwei, I recommend getting the 豆皮,豆干, and their meat selection. The ayi can portion it out for you, just let her know how many people are in your group. As for the dumplings, they were served piping hot and incredibly juicy inside! If you order them, I suggest eating them first before moving on to the other dishes, so the soup inside doesn’t get absorbed by the skin.

This unassuming place serves one of the best dumplings that I have ever had in Taiwan. The dumpling skin was thick, chewy and moist… and the meat in it was delicious. I would definitely come back here again for the dumplings. There also seem to be many braised items available. I didn’t get to try them but I saw many customers ordering them. Will definitely want to come back here again to try them. But expect a long wait… but it’s really worth the wait.

I would give them five stars, it’s no.1 dumpling restaurant in my heart at Taipei. Their dishes and soup all tasted well and beef noodle also sweet and smooth, most impressive is that dumpling’s dough is thick and with chewy, stuffing still very juicy. If you come to Taiwan suggest you should come here to try it.

After a long day of hiking in the 7-Star Mountain, this restaurant turned out to be the best place to be, albeit the long line of waiting! The dumplings were as food as recommended. The little side dishes are delicious too. The famed Taiwan Beer is in the righteous place!!!

Best dumplings and lu wei in Taipei ever! The food was always served incredibly fast and consistently fresh. The dumplings are incredibly juicy, brimming with flavorful broth. You don't even need to dip them in soy sauce to experience that wonderful, fresh taste.

This is as much of a culinary experience as a cultural experience. First, the food will be different than what most non-Chinsse people are familair with. These are more "rural" Northern Chinese dishes which different than the Cantonese style dishes that are more prevalent in overseas restaurants. Second, the ambience is reminscent of an traditional tavern rather than an chic restaurant so expect the setting, decor, and service to be different as well. Neither of these things are bad - but know them going in to have a good time.
